These mosaics are inspired by the principles of design. More outstanding examples can be found in the 8th grade page. Great work! These are my favorite four.

Beginning to wrap things up.
As we wrap up our year, I have to say how proud I am of my students. Their work clearly shows how far they have come. 8th graders can surprise people with what they are capable of. Here are some examples of our independent painting students, our Jim Dine inspired tool drawings (more in the 8th grade section), and some eye-bombing from our Art Club.

Some sweet winter work!
Recently we've finished some really cool duck tape figures and some Hyper Realistic drawings. At this point, I have to say I'm really impressed by some of these 8th graders. Middle school students can sometimes have a tough time focusing on long projects but recently we've been working really hard on some longer projects. The pencil drawings here and in the 8th grade section were all completed using only mechanical pencils. Very impressive.

Bobble heads
Just recently finished our Bobble heads while studying some kitsch art. The kids always have fun with these. Enjoy and see the 8th grade section for more.

Here are our last 2 projects and 1 mini project. Roy Lichtenstein paintings, Doodle faces, and a 2 day gum painting project inspired by British street Artist Ben Wilson. See the 8th grade tab for more artwork.

It's going to be a creative year!
Judging from our first project, I have a lot of very creative thinking students this year. I'm really excited to see how they interpret each assignment. It should be very fun seeing them finish ideas this year. More examples of this are in the 8th grade section.
