I can't even tell you all how excited I am about this piñata!  

Buzz lightyear is coming along!

Here he is so far.  I'm starting the tissue paper today.  I'll keep posting pictures as he comes along.

Piñatas and Ugly dolls are under way!!

I'm going to try to post a daily progress picture of my example piñata for you all to see.  My 8th graders are currently doing "surgery" on some stuffed animals and here is my example that I made from the bin of extra body parts.  Keeping it fun, keeping it real!

Our "Toast" to Martin Luther King Jr.

My 7th graders each scratched a design on two pieces of toast to create our "toast" to MLK jr.  Pretty fun and interesting stuff.  To see more photos of the process check out the 7th grade tab.  Below is also a picture of my 8th graders recent tape-casting project.  That's a whole different story!

Look what we made just before Winter break!!

We were finishing up some projects while working on our sketchbooks and I showed some of my students how to do "toe weaving" bracelets.  

Can you believe an 8th grader made this mug?? What a great job she did!
